Compatibility
The CS-HG400-9 is designed for compatible Shimano HG splined freehub bodies and 9-speed shifting systems.
Before installation, verify the rear derailleur's supported cassette range, maximum sprocket size and total drivetrain capacity.
In particular, the 11-28T configuration is not specified for Shimano RD-M4000 and RD-M3000 rear derailleurs.
This is a cassette, not a threaded freewheel, and it cannot be installed directly onto a screw-on freewheel hub.
Installation and Maintenance
Install the cassette with the appropriate tools and tighten the lockring to Shimano's specified torque of 30–50 N·m.
Inspect the chain for wear when replacing the cassette to maintain reliable shifting.
