Compatibility
The CS-HG400-9 is designed for compatible Shimano HG splined freehub bodies and 9-speed shifting systems.
Before installation, confirm that the rear derailleur supports a 32-tooth largest sprocket and that its total capacity is appropriate for the bicycle's drivetrain.
This product is a cassette, not a threaded freewheel. It cannot be installed directly onto a threaded freewheel hub and is not compatible with Shimano Micro Spline freehub bodies.
Installation and Maintenance
Install the cassette using appropriate Shimano-compatible tools and tighten the lockring to the manufacturer's recommended torque of 30–50 N·m.
Inspect the chain for wear when replacing the cassette to maintain reliable shifting and drivetrain performance.
